Hint: the shiny side goes -UP- (opposite of sailboats)

ROFL

It's very hot any sunny down here, so some people cut a hole in the roof and fit a glass panel to let more of the heat and sun in! :stupid:

drunkenmaster, im not sure who owns the yellow z but it sure is nice, your z is looking great it was in the green etch primer and had all the deadener sprayed on the undercarriage and I think the boot area, Rob was doing some bodywork on it when I came in.. but man your z is looking real nice. Also I got to see the chassis rail extension on your car... looking good :classic:

my_mad_z, $400 what a bargain! My roof has zero rust and is in pretty good shape.. but has a sunroof  thanks for the help I appreciate it :classic:

Yep, everyone who has seen it says its the straightest Z they have seen in a long time, probably worth the extra $$ i shelled out for it (thanks cuong).

On another note, the blue 2 seater chopped up out front had its roof cut off and transplanted onto my friends 2 seater by Rob late last year. No idea on cost as work there tends to be lump sum and not itemised.

Hi,

I saw a couple of posts in this thread about drilling spot welds to replace the roof panel. That is what I did because my car had a sunroof. This page takes a long time to load but I have some good pictures and some write up of the process. I also put lead back on the roof joint to quarter panel like the factory.

Structural integrity of the car was not compromised by doing it this way.

Let me know if you have questions.
