The car is located near Denver, Colorado, USA. We just had the opportunity to see a Nissan restored 240Z at a Nissan dealership just a few miles from here (March 17, 2004). If you plan a trip soon, you can see both at the same time.

Nissan was successful in selling (what we understand to be) 43 restored 240Zs several years ago, many for more than the owners are asking for this one, most of which would not score the Gold Medallion award without additional work.

I would like to see this car in the hands of someone that will get it back out and visible in the Z community.

Very nice car. One I wouldn't mind owning if I were in the market for another Z. But here we go with that term 'restored' again. I'm not knocking the car, just it's description. How does a 'restored' car win 'Street Modified Class'? 'All original except for . . . ' that list is a lot longer than what the article mentions. Still in all, this is a great looking car and I would feel more comfortable driving it than one that was properly 'restored'.

Do we know how much he wants for this "special" Z?

It's "special" because of the immaculate condition it's in.

When I heard from him last summer, he stated that they were looking for high twenties, but seemed to have some "downward flexibility"..guess low-mid 20's!

It looks like a great restoration. It was not restored to original condition. I would spend the $$ for an restored original car (like the Nissian restoration program cars). I have watched the car on e-bay for weeks starting at $25K with no offers. Is this car worth more than that car???

I think the low 20's seems fair for that car. It's an exceptional restoration. I must agree that since it is modified and not restored to original factory specifications, it would not be worth as much as the cars offered through the Nissan program.

That car appears to be restored with the same detail as the factory offered Z's, but the backing of Nissan is what increases the value of the program cars.

If I had the garage space and an extra 20 or 30 grand, I would consider adding that car to my fleet of Z's. She's a real beauty.
