Hi gang,

I'm new here and was not even aware that this group existed until today. Needless to say I'm thrilled to have discovered it!

I'm from Victoria, BC, Canada and I've joined because my wife has a 1972 240Z she has had for the past 27 years. She is the third owner of the car and has had it since she was 15. You do the math! ;) Her older brother owned it for a year before her and then sold it to her. He bought it one-owner used from a dealer.

Anyway, she drove it until about 10 years ago and then we parked it (indoors) with the intention of sometime doing a complete restoration on it. Well, it's not going to happen as we have neither the time or money to do it. So we're now selling it. Here are the details:

-1972 240Z (pic attached)

-Car is brown w/good paint and very little rust on rocker panels. (original colour was orange)

-original hubcaps

-off-white interior panels/black dash and consol/white seats that are cracked and need reapolstering.

-needs new carpeting and floor pans on both sides due to rust

-61K miles on original motor—runs great!

-new head gasket w/150 psi on every cylinder

-recently added low-milage (15K miles) 280Z automatic turbo transmission (was originally an automatic also)

-minor frame dent behind right-front wheel (needs repair, NOT straightening)

-shot or broken right-rear strut

-good brakes and rubber

-needs new windshield gasket

I don't think there are any other problems. Over the years the car

has been in 4 or 5 VERY MINOR, low-speed accidents (people backing into the front end in parking lots) resulting in a new hood and front fenders. One accident (mine) caused the frame damage but was missed during accident claim it is so minor. There are no alignment problems either.

I recently drove it on a 300 mile road trip (as is) and it ran great and handled well. IMHO, it's a great, reliable little car that needs a little work and TLC to become an excellent little car.

Serious buyers only should email me at its_adman@shaw.ca or call me at (250) 655-6402. I will be checking in here, but if there's a lot of interest it may be impossible to post a reply to everyone. Thanks for your interest.
