There's no way to obtain a serious car value via a few digital pictures. It is impossible to do without seeing the car and doing a proper inspection.

However, it *IS* possible to obtain a few opinions.... especially on this site. :finger: hehe.....

I guess I sound a little harsh. Sorry. It's just the principle behind the original advertising. Don't get me wrong: I LOVE CARS LIKE THIS. They definitely have their purpose and I have owned several. There is nothing wrong with that car or any car with a few 'issues'. They are often wonderful little gems or great parts cars. But you can't go before the Z-Nazis and say something like "ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EVERYTHING TOTALLY RESTORED IMMACULATE UNBELIEVABLE SPOTLESS BEAUTY FOR SALE--oh and by the way, since it is so wonderful, I will only entertain serious offers and photos are optional since I'm not even going to belittle myself to state a price, I'm just going to sit back and let the bidding war begin."

Now if someone comes on and says, "Z for sale. Restored 14 years ago. Mostly garaged parking, but driven hard and neglected a bit since. 100,000 miles on rebuild. Roundtops. Considerable wear to interior. Paint in poor condition. some surface rust and I imagine some goes deeper. Original hubcaps. $1500 OBO in N.Virg. Call Cary at 555-1212. Here's a couple pix"

....Then everything would be different.

OK, you dirty rat, Look here, see, this is the way we're gonna play this, see! The Z police are on the sceene!

The car has promise, but you have not given enough detail for anybody who is familiar with a Zs shortcomings to jump in with some green! You have included just enough detail to bring out the sarcastic and suspicious nature of the "Z Police" We are of the opinion that what you didn't photograph, you didn't want us to see-and what reason could you have?

Prove us wrong, send clear and well lit pictures of the floors from below and under the carpet, give us a good clear shot of the battery tray area, show us the inside of the rockers! Show us what we can only suspect to be in poor shape! We want to believe, but the God of rust has taught us that the streets will flow with rusty water from the car we didn't thoroughly checkout. Prove your car worthy of the big bucks you want! We need to be sure you're not all sixes and sevens!

Wow. I just gave away a 1978 280Z that was in better shape than that one. I felt bad asking anyone to pay for the car:cry: The rust Gods have blessed that Z my friend:devious:

I'm surprised there's been so much activity about this car. The guy posted it 3 months ago but hasn't had the courtesy to follow up either to answer questions to to indicate that it's been sold already.

I don't think there's much point continuing the discussion.
