Posted March 20, 200420 yr comment_73450 Anyone know their email address? Their website seems to be down and I'd like to contact Richard? Handley or someone else who knows where to get those front spoilers like the one on Handley's car that is pictured in the Front Spoiler thread. As an enticement I've got a couple of photos of Sydney cars at the '97 Nats at Lakeside that I'd quite happily post to the lucky winner of the Find the Spoiler competition.:cheeky: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10836-sydney-z-car-club/ Share on other sites
March 20, 200420 yr comment_73452 I have heard you can get the urethane front spoilers in question at the Z car workshop in Queensland. They get it from Victoria British.the US rrp is about $170 before shipping. You can also get the type without the brake ducts.nixcars tells me that Alan Stean sells em for about $400?I was going to order one fairly soon. March 20, 200420 yr Author comment_73461 You never know with AS but I very much doubt it. Anyway I'll be seeing him before the end of the month so will ask. March 20, 200420 yr comment_73474 Richard,We are in the process of updating the Sydney Z club website, however when I checked a short while ago it was up and running. If you look in the contacts section you will see a contact number for Richard Handley. He has sold the car to another club member, but should be able to tell you where he got the spoiler from.Geoff Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10836-sydney-z-car-club/#findComment-73474 Share on other sites
April 19, 200420 yr comment_77715 I just spoke to warren at allzparts in Sydney. And apparently they DO stock the xenon front airdams.Specifically the one with brake ducts.I'm going tomorrow to check it out and pick up some other bits and pieces.Price is $375. April 19, 200420 yr Author comment_77732 The Xenon, is that the same as on Handley's car? What are they made of?For that sort of money I may try and design and make my own though, perhaps using one from another car as a base. Bugger of a job though. April 19, 200420 yr comment_77733 the one he described to me is made of urethane, so I would imagine it is the same as Handley's car since I've only seen Xenon make that style in urethane. These are the same spoilers as in the MSA and Victoria british catalogs.Allzparts also mentioned they used to get the fibreglass non brake duct ones in from xenon, but they didn't have provisions to install indicators so he doesn't stock those anymore. I would imagine the pricing on these would still be above 300 if he got them in specially. Will report back tomorrow... April 20, 200420 yr comment_77888 yep, its the same one as handley's car. There is one left in stock.I made an impulse buy.The spoiler is a lot 'softer' than I imagined, definitely needs some form of reinforcement. April 21, 200420 yr Author comment_78005 OK, now make a mould and do some fibreglass knock offs. You have one customer already. BTW, Z Car Workshop is basically going out of that sort of stuff, Alan Stean is concentrating on Silverstone tyres.
