Posted March 22, 200421 yr comment_73740 Hello all!I am very new to the Z scene (about 2 weeks total)! My story starts out like this.... I currently work with a guy who purchased a 1978 280Z new back in 1978, I've known him 9 years and have never seen this car on the road, about 2 weeks ago i asked him about the car and he told me his wife wanted it out of the garage and he was thinking about just having someone haul it off for the tax write off, i told him if he was going to do that i would give him $500 for it he said ok!!! My 2 sons and i went to his house to pay for the car and my oldest son asked if the car ran? He opened the passenger side door, reached in and turned the key and this car purred like a kitten!! Even the A/C still blows cold!! This car is the dark orange color all orginal except for the stereo and he added a fuel pressure gauge under the hood, 99% rust free no dents great paint, of course it does need a few things like front brakes and clutch slave cylinder, which i will be asking advice from you guys when i get into it! Anyway just wanted to share my story and this is proof that diamonds can be found cheap! Hope to have some pics soon!
