March 26, 200420 yr Author comment_74387 still searching for a valve-vacuum switch for a 1976 280z 2+2... it has a straight six and has been running great until a sensor wire broke off. Now the car thinks it's running cold all the time and is running the gas too rich. or at least that's what i think it's doing.Nissan gave me this part number of 14956-U6705 and they said two other part numbers will work 14956-U6701 and 14956-U6700.but of course, nissan doesn't make or carry this part anymore!i've checked several parts houses and now i'm looking in the junk yards. any HELP would be greatly appreciated ;-) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10874-byikesb-cant-find-a-vacuum-switch/#findComment-74387 Share on other sites
March 26, 200420 yr comment_74398 Where on the engine is this located? Is it on the intake manifold just ahead of the EGR valve with a vacuum hose between the two? The 75-76 had those but on the 77-78 it is replaced by the BPT valve. Let me know if thats the part and I'll look around and see if I have one. April 13, 200420 yr comment_76951 #28 in the diagram you posted is the Air Regulator, if you tell them the correct name I'd be willing to bet they have it.
