March 25, 200420 yr Author comment_74280 Chris,Is there another fuel filter by the tank? Or just the one up front by the mech pump? This new car of mine is running fine with the rear pump disconnected. My race car has just a single pump at he fuel cell which I regulate to 3.5 lbs with no return lines.Aanand Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10909-2-fuel-pumps-on-a-73/?&page=2#findComment-74280 Share on other sites
March 25, 200420 yr comment_74282 Hey Doc, On my 73 I also disconnected the electric pump. The filter was built into the pump on my car. It had a twist off cap on the bottom of the cylinder. If you have by-passed the electric pump then you should just have the filter up in the engine bay near the mechanical pump. I dont think there is any other filters. Hope this answers your question.I am surprised that JohnB can run triples with the stock electric pump. But you never know. March 25, 200420 yr comment_74284 There are two little inlet filters at the float bowls on the banjo fittings but those are like a secondary filter after the primary by the mechanical pump.
