HS30-H Posted March 30, 2004 Share #3 Posted March 30, 2004 Hi WanganKid,15 views and no posts is nothing!Welcome to the site and congratulations on your new purchase. One of the best investments you will ever make in relation to your car is technical literature. Tools are also an investment. In fact, you might like to think of technical literature and tools as one and the same thing..........One of the most economical and educational sources of technical literature is the Microfiche CD rom offered by this website. It will give you the part number that you need. Its a CD version of the official Nissan microfiches, and it will give you hours of fun.Find out about it here:Microfiche CD rom Good luck,:classic: Alan T. v12horse Posted March 30, 2004 Share #5 Posted March 30, 2004 Okay, you twisted my arm. I just bought the microfiche CD. I have been thinking about getting one for a while. I have the 260z service manual and that has been a godsend, so I am thinking that with all the ranting and raving about this CD I will be very happy that I bought it. Hey, if no one has bought it yet, buy it now! It is still half off. hehehehe. Thanks for twisting my arm Alan. Ben
Chino 240Z Posted March 30, 2004 Share #6 Posted March 30, 2004 Welcome WanganKid to CZCC!You have brought your Zed to the right place for education, learning and sharing. Sometimes many people may read a question but don't have a good answer, but sooner or later it does come up. If you are restoring or trying to keep original you are going to search for the proper parts, but if you are not so hung up on perfection then you can relax and use one that has the ole, fit, form & function. I think I just replaced mine with a Hitachi and it serves me well. While you have your head under the hood, now is a good time to check the battery, cables, and ground connections to be sure things are clean and tight.Last week I chased a bad wire that looked just fine from the outside, but was so corroded inside that it didn't ring out with a continuety test and after replacing cured my charging problem. I'll tell you, after chasing that thing down I now have a new batt., starter, alter., regulator, and cables. They kinda needed to be gone thru anyways, and I feel better about the whole system now.Anyways GAMBATTE KUDASAI YO!(Hang in there!)Craig
