Posted April 1, 200420 yr comment_75202 Hey Folks, I have to remove the old faded decals off the air cleaner cover without damaging the paint. Any suggestions? I have some 3M Woodgrain and Stripe Remover but it says it will damage a laquer finish. Thanks in advance.Chris Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11047-decal-remover/ Share on other sites

April 1, 200420 yr comment_75214 After soaking with the GOO Gone, use a heatgun/hir dryer to warm the decal & soften tyhe glue even more.Don't burn the paint Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11047-decal-remover/#findComment-75214 Share on other sites
April 4, 200420 yr comment_75423 3M makes a nice product too. It is called adhesive remover. I have used it on even pretty fresh paint. Got the gule off and left a 36HR clearcoat in good shape.
