Bumper bar?

Racer-19

Recommended Posts

what does one "officially" call the trim bar that was on the top of the front and rear bumpers of the early Z?

Oh, yea, I have an AWESOME rear bar sample. If it was much better it would have to be perfect. One small dent, great chrome... it does have broken bolts in the center mounting holes, but anyone can fix that...

yes, you will probably see it on the For Sale board, like a lot of my other goodies:stupid:

Remember, tomorrow is Friday, watch out for those kiddos coming and going to school!!! Drive carefully.

They are listed under 'Dealer Installed Accesories' in the 1978 showroom brochure as Bumper guards (front and rear). Also on that list were, Factory mag-type wheels, Air Conditioning (which would be the dealer installed ARA system), CB radio, AM/FM stereo (cassette or 8-track), rear window shade, side moldings, smuggler tonneaus (I'd like to ge ahold of one of those!), side stripes, floor mats, racing mirrors, and shift knobs. The only 'factory' options in 78 were the 5-speed, the automatic trans, and factory air (on the coupe).
