Posted March 19, 200223 yr comment_4172 Ok I have a 1973 with stock suspension, and it so needs a complete upgrade. I am all over the road with bumps (exaggerating a little bit). So I want to put in new struts spring and Bushings. Is there anything else I should be doing? and what products would be good to get. I want to get some decent quality stuff but money is an object. So I know of Tokico and KYB but I would really like your guys input on what is good for a good price. I don’t really need adjustable unless it really makes a difference. So if you have any input post it up thanks alot.Paul Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1111-what-shocks-and-springs-to-get/ Share on other sites

March 19, 200223 yr comment_4181 You can try Nissan at this site: http://www.courtesyparts.com/energysuspension/oldzcar.html or try this one also: http://zbyter.home.attbi.com/ My Z has Tokico non-ajustable shock and lower springs, but i haven't ride in the car yet because it is still in storage. I'm waiting for the snow to go awaaaaaaaaaaaay... Can't help you to give a feedback from my ride... March 19, 200223 yr comment_4188 Try www.shox.com They have the lowest prices I could find for the suspension stuff. I also tried stricklyz, motorsports industries, victoria british and www.nismoparts.com but shox.com was the lowest. Do make some calls because prices where all over the place. AS an example, I saw Eibach springs anywhere from $280.00 down to $209.00 for a complete set. March 19, 200223 yr comment_4200 I went with the Tokiko non-adjustable strut inserts - they were the most reasonably priced back when I was looking around. I also went with Suspension Techniques springs - they supposedly only lower the car about 1.5 inches. After 30 years, the old, tired original springs were already sagging the 1.5 inches, so I can't tell any difference between the before and the after look.I also replaced all of the old rubber bushings, including the steering rubber, with polyurethane while doing the suspension project. The handling improvement was significant. Good luck with your project.
