June 15, 200420 yr comment_85208 Here is a very bad photo of my diff. The # are as follows: A: 38311 B: P9000 I am just wouldering if I got hosed. The guy I got it form says it is a R200 diff. but I looked at a photo of the two and this one dosen't have the 5 bolt holes on the sides where the shafts go in. As I looked closer, I see a piece of metal going vertically inside where the shafts meet. Is this LSD? For my info. ( dont want to pull the diff. off of the car just to put the same on up) Thanks. I will post photos. (bad ones) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11133-r200-swap/?&page=2#findComment-85208 Share on other sites

July 20, 200420 yr comment_88255 hey can you pull it out of the swimming pool before you take the pictures? heh, looks like its underwater or something. That one definitely takes the splind'd halfshafts (or converters)....I'll stick with my R180 unless I get a 427 installed..... September 30, 200420 yr comment_97011 Dogma, I live in Florida where it is quite humid. My digital camera was in a 73 degree house and went to a 88 degree w/ 98% humidity ( or something like it) anyway, the camera fogged up. Kinda like when a person who has glasses walks from inside his house to outside where the weather is humid. Sorry. I'll erase them and post new ones for you. I'm not mad, I liked the joke. It does look like it's in a fish tank, though! By the way; does my diff have the LSD? Just woundering. Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11133-r200-swap/?&page=2#findComment-97011 Share on other sites
September 30, 200420 yr comment_97031 The LSD assembly sits inside of the diff, you'd have to take off the backing plate, which is a good idea anyways....I took out my diff and put a new gasket with silicone on it to seal up some leaks, looks real good now. If there is just a ring and pinion gear, it's not LSD. If it looks any fancier, it could be LSD.Good luck on the conversion, and keep us informed! October 1, 200420 yr comment_97067 Alright man. I'll have to do my homework when I get ready to do this. Should be around the end of January. I want to get my new turbo engine installed, and not to mention a lot of other things...i.e. shaved doors. I just want to do my own thing. Couldent hurt to try? :nervous: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11133-r200-swap/?&page=2#findComment-97067 Share on other sites
