Hi All,

I saw this add below when chasing vin numbers today.

my question is for the guys in Melbourne Australia.

Did any one see this Z, is it worth saving, can any one tell me any more about it.

DATSUN 240Z 1971 White, 5sp manual, Stripped ready for restoration. Complete, original car, build no. 671. Usual rust. L24 028791 $2100ono (0403)343156 Williamstown.

Private Classifieds (Melbourne Trading Post)

cheers

I begged the boss for permission to add it to my fleet but she has some crazy idea that we need to have more space before we get any more, she just doesn't get it.

I don't know if anybody has been to see it yet.

I saw the add for this a couple of weeks ago at the moment i'm struggling to fix mine up on my budget otherwise I would have bought it in a second. I didn't look at it but it's early enough for me.

I have no information on the car and I'd go around there but wouldn't wanna waste the sellers time.

Zedrally,

as you can imagine the numbers, I am seeing coming in for 260Z and 2+2 are a lot less than 240Z. I have grouped all production in under either RS30- or GRS30- to keep a reasonable number in each spread sheet.

I am only to willing to enter more detail into the registers if our members would like to share the information on thier Zeds.

cheers

Zedrally,

yes you are right about responce rates, but I am always looking at the classifieds and I always scan on the roads so I usualy get about 3-4 a month. Any help is always appreciated. All rego stickers in Aus that I have seen carry a Vin number and age so I generally walk up memorise the vin and some of the trim detail bring it home and enter it.

As for numbers in I have no firm delivery figures, for any year, but would accept any that are fourth comming. I am seeing delivery trends thow all points of the compasss for consecutive vins.

cheers
