Cuong Nguyen Posted April 12, 2004 Share #1 Posted April 12, 2004 Hi All, My poor little RB26 died at an early age. Very sad about it, was entered to take the car to Drag Combat event on Saturday the 10th April and on Friday the day before it - the engines decides to develop a knock in the block. I think it must have heard of all the love we were planning for it the next day and thought to itself that it would be a good way of getting out of it. Oh well, didnt want to do it but looks like RB26 V2 will be back in the car - meaner and stronger (I hope!) - with forged pistons, rods, cams, o-ringed block and few other nice goodies. Keep you all posted. Take care, Cuong

Zrush Posted April 12, 2004 Share #3 Posted April 12, 2004 Bummer. Better at home than on the track in front of everyone, no? Cuong or anybody, what does "RB26" stand for? Does it have some sort of translation like our L24, L26 or L28? Vicky
civ104 Posted April 12, 2004 Share #4 Posted April 12, 2004 RB26 was a twin cam straight six originally in the non-US Nissan Skyline sports Sedans. Very potent engines.
Gav240z Posted April 13, 2004 Share #5 Posted April 13, 2004 What a shame obviously wasn't meant to be. So don't stress as my driving instructor said to me when I failed my license maybe if you got it something bad could have happened so maybe someone is looking out for you.Take care be patient and you will have your car together sooner than you may think.
