Owning a Z makes me...

[This is my idea for a continuing post. Reply with one word, and explain it. Keep it Z-related and hopefully positive! See my response for an example.]

Proud.

Owning a Z makes me proud; proud that I found one that moved when I bought it, proud of the countless hours I spend in the garage, proud of the knowledge I am gaining and the friends I am making. Owning a Z makes me proud to have an automobile I will NEVER see two of parked next to each other (conventions excluded), proud of the thumbs-ups and the jaws agape, proud of the satisfaction of working on MY car with MY hands and MY tools! Owning a Z makes me proud of my growing collection of automotive literature, proud to be a self-trained electrician, proud of my Links folder, proud of my desktop and VERY proud of my cleaned out garage. Owning a Z makes me proud to be a driver!!

Who's next?

Late.

I try to get right to work on time, but...

...it's just too much fun to go around the block a few more times, cuz I think I could have done that corner better! (350Z)

I try to get home after work on time, but...

...it's just too much fun to drive the strip one more...okay..TWO more times before I put it in the garage. (240Z)

Happy, proud, snooty, and a whole bunch more...

I am so glad that I have my Z. I have always been a car enthusiasts, but I don't think I would have ever become a Zcar enthusiast if my Dad didn't purchase one. At the time of my sophmore year in college I needed a car to drive to an internship a few days a week. I started looking around at old Integra's and Impreza's, then my Dad said that he never drives the Z and offered it to me. I took it and it has taken me on a journey. Never have I learned so much about one car before. Besides knowledge, pride, and passion that I have for my car and Zcars alike, it has given me friends around the world. When I was younger I always wanted a penpal, but I never had one. Thanks to this forum and the Zcar I can talk with all of you. This forum is great and I am greatful for my Zcar and the Zcar in general. Thanks everyone for being there.

Sincerely,

Ben Yount

Inconcieveable!

That anyone granted the opportunity to drive an S30 would not unterstand, or become infected with Z-itus(Similar to eternal bliss, but requires Time, Space, tools, premium Gasoline, and available road)!

Symptoms include:

Extreeme Pride in ownership, over active feet and arms, The euphoric feeling in the seat of your pants(NOT those feelings handled by Depends for those of us who sound like a bunch of old men) from a hot lap around the block, neighborhood, city, state, or country. Craving the admiration from other drivers who stop to talk, drool, and envy. A complete lack of understanding why they don't get it that they too could join in the fun.

While the benefits of Z-itus are well documented, there are common side-affects, none of which are even in the same planetary configuration with placebo. You will experience forgetfullness(you find you did have a bank account, a job, a spouce, childeren with birthdays, a substantial need for food or cold ones, and a house(recurring payment),)

You will experience trances-especially when walking past your Z(if you (or anyone else)can drag your away from it). You will experience chills at night-from sleeping on the ground beside your Z after having put the blanket around her while she is waiting for parts from Chloe.

Seporation from your Z will result in withdrawl. Couch driving, air washing and waxing, sleeping with a winshield wiper, moping over tools are typical and to be expected. These symptoms can be life altering in nature, and should not be taken lightly. Once you have a Z to enjoy, you must have another as a backup just in case something happens to your first. While the loss of a first Z is traumatic, the quicker a replacement is available, the less severe life changes will be.

While there is no known cure for Z-itus, temporarily relief may be had from active and passionate participation in a Classiczcars forum spouting the millions of intangeable qualities of an S30-and the infinate superiority of those who agree that everything else is unworthy of text, perusing photos of Z cars, and laughing at ricers.

My name is Will and I have a problem....I sold my '73 .....................
