Not enough clutch adjustment

Ok, 73 240Z, new clutch MC and slave, was able to bleed them fine, the problem is I have the adjustment out to the last thread and the clutch is still at the floor! Still not blead? Everything works fine just I don't like the clutch engaging a 1/4" off of the floor!

Looking for suggestions!

Could be that it has air trapped in the MC, you shouldn't have to use the pedal adjustment at all when you just change the MC and SC. Unless it was way out of adjustment to begin with.

Since the clutch MC dosen't have a bleeder any suggestions as to make sure it is bled?? just loosen the fitting and pump away???

If you open the bleeder on the slave cylinder it will bleed by gravity. What you want to do, is close the bleeder on the slave enough that it won't bleed by gravity, but will bleed if you depress the clutch pedal. The little bit of back pressure you create will often times force the air out of the MC that otherwise would stay there if you do it by gravity.

That's the way I've always done it and it seems to work.

OK I'll try that, I did a gravity bleed for the most part when I put it in with a few pumps.

I'm afraid that it got put in the "I'll look at this later" catagory as body work and paint are in process.

Also, check the pedal/master cylinder pushrod connection. Pull the pin out and inspect. you will be amazed on how a little bit of wear on the pin and pushrod yoke can make a huge difference in clutch action.

.....and the chutch pedal arm itself. In my experience the pin and pedal arm will wear the most and can become quite deformed.

I've got a similar situation (me thinks): Clutch grabs strong but the pedal is damned near on the floor before fully engaged. I tried poking my head up under the dash to inspect the pedal pivot point/hole for wear but I cant see it (I am DEFINITELY not as limber as I used to be). Question: Are the pedals grouped as an assembly, and/or does the pedal need to be pulled in order to inspect this? Or do I just need to get my son (infinitely more limber than me) to crawl under there to see it properly?

to see if things are worn you will have to pull the pin that drives the clutch MC then I think that you can get the pedal out, been a while since I fit myself down in there, it is also a lot easier with the seat out of the car.

Gawd, this brings back some memories I'd rather forget! It will help if you can employ a contortionist or a midget, to crawl up under the dash for you. Space is certainly limited!!!
