April 19, 200420 yr comment_77767 I can tell you from first hand experience, the half covers look absolutely terrible (in my humble opinion). The big edge across the horizontal axis of the dash just breaks up the lines. The previous owner of my car slapped one on there and I am looking forward to the day I can have the dash restored professionally. The full-face dash covers (and someone correct me if I am wrong) will make it impossible (or extremely difficult) to remove the tachometer and speedometer without pulling the dash. April 19, 200420 yr comment_77768 I've got on in my shed. Never liked the way they looked on the dash. I Used mine for a small time. I just let it sit to cover my dash from the sun. I wouldn't recommend any one using heavy glue. You'll never get it off. Last note. I would never pay $50. -Brandon 71 240z Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11333-dash-covers-look/#findComment-77768 Share on other sites

Page 39 in the spring edition. You should be able to pull this up at www.victoriabritish.com. Costs $39.95 for a Z and ZX's. I have not yet purchased one but it's been on my dream list for quite some time (Years.) Patch it up, keep it out of sun light, put a cover on it. Make sure you don not park your car under direct sun light. If you can afford restore your dash do it!-Brandon71 240Z-small crack in dash Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11333-dash-covers-look/#findComment-77797 Share on other sites

April 19, 200420 yr comment_77847 Inf, I don't now why the full face dashcap would make it any harder to remove the speedo and tach, don't they always come out from the back of the dash? Removing the whole dash shouldn't be any more necessary with or without the dashcap. I too, could be wrong. I'll probably go with a full dashcap myself. Can't afford a new dash (or uncracked used one for that matter) and I'm afraid to remove my old one and try and put in a replacement. I have a 1971 (12/70 build date) 240Z and a 1972 parts car. Took the cracked dash out of the parts car (to sell or junk) and that was enough to scare me away from doing dash re-installation myself. I found a 72/73 uncracked dash (picture attached) right across the border in a wrecking yard near Osoyoos, BC that someone had removed, grabbed all the instruments, and left laying unharmed inside the wrecked car. Sold that one on ebay for a nice profit, but I didn't want to switch to that dash because it is quite a bit different from my 1971's dash. So, it's either a full dash cap or find someone with a cheap, uncracked dash that wants to help me swap it in. One can dream can't one?
