April 20, 200420 yr comment_77971 zr240 ............. I might pop by to have a look if I don't go away.BTW ……… Sorry that I forgot to tell you that last weekend Racepace GTR raced at Sandown. Track was cold but he did 1:16 on street tyres. :classic: What are your best times zr240 around Sandown, Calder and Phillip Island. April 20, 200420 yr Author comment_77989 That time is unreal is it timed on a stopwatch or with proper lap timing system at the track. The nations cup cars would push to do those times. How much hp does the GTR have? I take it they are very good road tyres as well. Is there a chance they would race this car as GTRs are able to run in sports cars now. My best time is a 1.23 at sandown and 1.47 at Phillip Island. These times are timed on track lap timing system not on stop watch. You have to remember my car just has an L28 and triples and I bet the gtr cost a heap to get it going that quick!Ash Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11355-racing-at-sandown-this-weekend/#findComment-77989 Share on other sites
April 21, 200420 yr comment_77994 zr240 ….those damn quick times you do. Thank god Zeds are light.Racepace GTR was timed on proper lap timing system at the track. He uses the new Bridgstone semi comps RE55s. It’s a 3L…….. with a big single making about 500kw at the wheels on pulp. He can run more boost but he says he is still getting used to the car.The car has full interior and is quiet. He told me he was nearly hitting 300km/h on back straight, as he saw the needle go past 280km/h but he had to watch the road before breaking hard. The car looked extremely fast from the distance. Cost of the car & mods ……… you wouldn’t get much change from 100k.RPMGTR will be at Calder in few weeks. Now I need to get my sh!t together and get out as well. April 21, 200420 yr comment_78003 Yeh, good racing in the Zed car, have fun and thrash the Porkas. Sprints at Queensland Raceway this Saturday too, no lap records, just want to settle in a bit more after recent car improvements. Re the GT-R, for the money they are way faster than the German pretenders. And road modified Silvias are damm quick too.:devious: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11355-racing-at-sandown-this-weekend/#findComment-78003 Share on other sites
