April 21, 200420 yr Author comment_78136 NO Bill not the glass rubber , the HINGE rubber seal, It's like a cup that completely covers the hinge up inside the roof. April 22, 200420 yr comment_78179 Gary:Do you have a pic or diagram of what you are looking for? I'm confused as to what seals you are refering to. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11378-rear-hatch-hinge-seals/#findComment-78179 Share on other sites
April 22, 200420 yr Author comment_78182 Killer . What I am talking about is the rubber seal that wraps around the hinge that keeps the water from entering the cup or space the hinge sets in the roof. It seals off the cavity. I dont have a dig. camera sorry . It fits over the hinge like a sock .They are made of rubber that is less than 1/16'' thick. gema I went to midwestz first thing as was in my first post here. But thanks any way. OZ man I'll take a look at e bay thanks. I have been looking I must have missed it. April 22, 200420 yr comment_78190 Beandipthe items on ebay were from seller rzola, and they were purchased on a buy it now almost as soon as they were listed, ( I was very tempted bby them) so you will need to check on completed items if you look now. This will at least give you a picture of the items ( if rzola is OK about you using it).hope it helpsAndrew Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11378-rear-hatch-hinge-seals/#findComment-78190 Share on other sites
April 22, 200420 yr comment_78195 Beandip,I think you are looking for 90410-E4101 and 90411-E4101, seal-cover hinge tailgate RH and LH. This is a truely NLA part to the best of my knowledge. Sorry I missed them on eBay as I would have snatched them up myself! Good Luck! I am looking for them myself! April 22, 200420 yr comment_78196 26thzI was hoping someone with an early car might chip in as I didn't know what cars they went on. I saw them before they were sold but was going to check if they were original on the early cars. They went on a buy it now about 10 minutes later:cry: regardsAndrew Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11378-rear-hatch-hinge-seals/#findComment-78196 Share on other sites
April 22, 200420 yr comment_78232 Rats! I've been looking for those seals for over a year now. I refuse to remove them from my car until I have replacements, as I figure they'll not fare well if I do. I would like to remove them for painting in the future... I usually watch rzola's auctions closely, but I missed that one. I would have grabbed them in a heartbeat. April 22, 200420 yr comment_78247 Just curious what price they went for. They have been on my published wish list for a while. I should write Bob a snotty e-mail for not telling me about them. They should be (mine are like this) made of the same thin plastic that the fresh air intake ducts in the front fenders are made of. The plastic errodes, dries, and just crumbles in your hands. There is a metal facing plate that covers them like the facing metal on the early air intakes. The hatch hinges also have a shim for alignment 90407-E4100. Chloe wished me good luck many months ago, but she came up with those hatch vent ducts which I thought was a miracle. Keep looking and let me know if they can be found. Most cars I look at have them missing. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11378-rear-hatch-hinge-seals/#findComment-78247 Share on other sites
