my 1978 280z has been sitting without a single crank since 1996! any ideas on how to start this project? i purchased it 2 yrs. ago and i just towed it to my driveway from a good friends backyard. i payed $200.00 for the car and i am ready to start. this is the first non runnig car that i am starting. all my other cars where running so i know that i am in for big surprises!! i also know that this may get quite expensive. so with that in mind...anyone got any ideas????????????

if you search the threads for storage or sitting , you will find numerous list of things to check before you turn the key but , right off start with checking fuels , oil , gas , water and check the cylinders to make sure they do not have any sign of rust if any water got in it would be a big prob , but there are lots of threads about bringing cars back after sitting for several years , I would first drain the gas tank :classic: , just to be sure
