not Z related....must see though...300SL

I know this is not Z related, but I thought you guys would like to take a look at this anyway because we are all car enthusiasts here. I have only seen a few of these 300sl's on ebay before and only seen a hand full of them in person. I would have to say that the 300sl of the 50's and very early 60's has to be one of the most beautiful designed cars ever. I like the gullwings even more, but this one is gorgeous as well.

:stupid: I just showed my dad this car and he told me his brother had one just like it when he was about 18. My grandpa bought it for about $1500. My uncle got sick of doing all the little things to keep it running and spending the money on it so he got ride of it for $300. My dad said he cryed for weeks when his brother sold it. It was the same charry red and eveything. I should send this too him, he would cry his eyes out too when he sees how much this car is going for.

Maybe he had a 190sl. Those were and still are a fraction of the cost of the 300sl. I agree with you there alfa, one cannot live in a 300SL. The square footage is very small for the price. heheheh, but man does it look good... These are highly prized cars of collectors and I would not be surprized if the price reaches well over 200k.
