how to adjust the slave cylinder and master cylinder

I just installed second slave cylinder(Nobco) and clutch hose to my 72Z after I installed first (it is turned out defective; broken bleeding pin) slave cylinder a week ago from another part shop(NAPA), and I am waiting to install 1972 240z master cylinder from the other parts shop.

When I bought and installed second slave cylinder(1972 240z) is exact idenical slave cylinder from my 72z which I removed an old one, so I assume that current hydroric system may be stock(1972 240z).

I thought my 240z has equipped with different hydroric system because privious ownder told me that he installed the Center Force II or '86 300 z clutch assembly.

This is my questions:

1. How do I idintify if my '72 has equipped with '86'turbo clutch assembly with 2x2 fly wheel or the center force II clutch, or the stock clutch assembly(83zx or 240 z)?

2. how to adjust the salve cylinder? My slave has adjusting nuts. Does clutch fork needs free play or no movement between push rod between clutch fork?

3. Do I have to replace hydroric system along with L-28 hydroric system or 86 300zx turbo hydroric system along with clutch assembly?

Kind of hard to follow your question, but here goes.

1)The slave cylinder you have is good if you can bolt it to the transmission, and the rod matches the clutch fork, and you have enough adjustment on rod.

2)No need to change clutch master cylinder to 280 or 300Z model.

3)Clutch and flywheel makes no difference in slave cylinder selection, as long as #1 applies.

4)Adjust slave cylinder rod with some play, bleed slave (and replaced master) cylinder. Then readjust slave rod with slight play. Start engine and slowly try to select a gear. If clutch disk didn't dis-engage (gears grind) then lengthen slave rod. Repeat until all is well.

You don't want the rod to long (or clutch disk will slip and wear against flywheel/pressure plate, and throw out bearing will wear), but you don't want rod to short (or clutch disk will not realease from flywheel/pressure plate and you will grind gears).
