Alfadog Posted April 26, 2004 Share #1 Posted April 26, 2004 Wow! A red 260Z 2+2 CONVERTIBLE. It's in awesome condition... but worth the price? Depends how vain you are, I suppose!http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2475776565&category=2030
sjcurtis Posted April 26, 2004 Share #2 Posted April 26, 2004 I saw that one today , I agree awsome job. I checked out the vin number and the engine number and I put it down as late 76 build,( 12/76 AUS compliance). the back end looks well fabricated for the boot lid.cheersSteve:classic:

Gee Posted April 26, 2004 Share #4 Posted April 26, 2004 I've seen this car driving around in Melbourne. The photos really don't do the paintwork any justice.
sblake01 Posted April 26, 2004 Share #5 Posted April 26, 2004 Sorry guys. Convertible Zs don't impress me. It takes away the uniqueness of the design. Whatever the price is it's too much. I don't care who does the conversion the car was not designed to be a convertible! No matter how fancy it comes out, it's just another hacked up Z. Gav240z Posted April 26, 2004 Share #6 Posted April 26, 2004 It's not a bad car, I saw this in person too around my area a few times the paint is very good and the car is ok. I don't mind it being hacked up because it's a 2+2 and their roof line don't impress me all that much. He's lying but i saw this car for sale already in a magazine hehe. cheaky begger . He wanted more in the vacinity of $11,000 at the time I'm pretty sure. Looks like it has a P90 head on it. Hmmm i guess it depends how much you wanna spend and if you want a convertible Z. Zrush Posted April 26, 2004 Share #8 Posted April 26, 2004 I've always wondered about the structure on the convertable Z's. Since the car is a unibody, doesn't hacking off the roof make the car some what weaker body wise? That convertable kind of looks like a 70's Fiat Spider... sort of.Vicky
