April 7, 200816 yr comment_243326 I just received this from Bill Madamba who was in Texas last January while I was at Texas World Speedway for track day. Bill video'd three parade laps and I submit for your visual and aural pleasure.Frankhttp://picasaweb.google.com/billmadamba/TWS11208/photo?authkey=WnwPo9oWo8k#5162526983630989266 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1145-what-is-a-european-tone/#findComment-243326 Share on other sites

April 8, 200816 yr comment_243347 To quote someone else on this forum whose name escapes me, "Six in a row makes her go!" The "tone" is that of a 38 year-old L24. Sweet, ain't it?Frank Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1145-what-is-a-european-tone/#findComment-243347 Share on other sites

April 8, 200816 yr comment_243368 To me, "european tone" for exhaust always brings to mind the mellow note of an early Jag E-Type. Beautiful sound. Actually, my 240Z with a single 24" glass-pack in the middle and small diameter pipe to the rear (no rear muffler) sounds pretty nice in this way. Not quite the smooth Jag sound, but in the neighborhood. For Zs, I see that comment most often in ads for Monza exhausts. Since I've never heard a Monza on a Z in person, I can't say for certain what they mean by that though.
