v12horse and 26th-Z,

I am really looking forward to seeing both of you at L.A.

It is exciting for me,I want to talk and show you my Z a lot of things. If I have enough time,of course I would love to go Les's shop and nice junk yard.

I know what all of you think, japanese Z should go to convention. It is much more worthy to comunicate and look into the difference each other.I have a lot of japanese owner you may want to see 240ZG,Z432R,powerd by LY28 etc. These Zs are worth to see.But this time, all S30 is LHD.This is not intentionaly,I do not know just happened, please believe me.

And 26th-Z,your differencial's photo show the sign of sticker,it is interesting,Mine has repainted long time before,so I can not see it.

P.S.I post this photo for all U.S. Z car enthusiasts.

Did you see Mr.Watanabe's bar?His 1969 Z432's web site is just great.I list his web site in my web's link so you can try.It contains lots of things about repair information and photos, what amazing is he did by himself most of them.

I show you one more bar which was selling in japanese yahoo auction."55450-E8800" you can see it.

That Z432-R is beautiful. I especially like the Kobe Seiko Works rally wheels. They look like the 7j wide ones too. I have seen a model of this car before offered by Fujimi. Very nice Kats, thank you for the photos. I am going to add these pics of the car and the mustache bars to my archive.

I look forward to seeing you and your car at the Z convention this year too.

Take care for now,

Ben

I missed my Z,it will take 2 weeks to reach U.S.I hope everything all right, not fall off hub caps and not scrach exterior...

Thank you

kats

Give yourself a pat on the back Kats, I am sure everyone here thinks your car is one of the best original ones in existence.

I hope your car reaches LA OK and you enjoy the convention.

regards

Andrew

"55450-E4200" the number is different!

Hi Kats,

The part number for the 432 and 432R is different because they used the "R192" diff.

The bar was a different shape, and a different thickness from others.

Cheers,

Alan T.

Kats,

Maybe this has something to do with the viewpoint of the owners who want to take their cars to the Convention?

I have an alternative suggestion. Maybe some American ( LHD ) owners should take their cars over to Japan for a show in the country where the Z was designed and made...... :classic: :tapemouth :ermm:ROFL

Hello Alan T,

How are you doing? How is your 432R project? And have you been to japan recently, especialy Mr.Nishi's shop?

Thank you for your posting,I agree and I should say something for "bringing japanese Z" or "two-way comunication with overseas owners ".

I start a new thread about "240Z outlet in japan",please give me your knowledge.

Would that be well-received? I can imagine a certain (small) group of 240 or maybe Z32 owners doing this. I don't know the quality of the average Japanese Z, but over here about 75% of 240z are absolute junk and about 98% of 260 through Z31. Perhaps the curve is the same in Japan, with a small group forming the club members and enthusiasts and the vast majority interested only in allowing severe wear from heavy, poorly maintained use or 'modifying' them with cheap, poorly-thought-out aftermarked junk. Is it the same everywhere else in the world?
