Oh heavens!

Car magazines are filled with tours, shows and excursions of enthusiasts who take their cars to a country and "enjoy the ride". I read of BMW events, Porsche events, Ferrari events and such all the time. Yes, it is a small group that participates, but you must remember the most common place for the Z is America. This is where all the junk is. Everywhere else, the marque is an expensive collector car. Go ahead. Slap me for sounding like a snob. :classic: In the American collector car world, the 240Z is the cheapest game in town.

Kats,

Simply amazing job you are doing there with your car, the attention to detail is fantastic. How did you clean those clamps so nice to original condition, ultrasonic, wire brush, chemical stripper?

This is only my 4th or 5th post here on this board but over the past 3 weeks or so I have been reading for literally hours a day and copying and pasting alot of helpful information to a file for later reference.

I must also say that the quality of the content and the knowledge of people like Kats, Her Majesty's 26th, BambiKiller, Carl Beck and a host of others make this a truly enjoyable expereince and I enjoy the virtual ride.

I am impatiently awaiting arrival of my 1973 Z I have bought to be delivered from Tampa, Fl to Harrisburg, PA. I have already made arrangements to attend a NJ Club Z Car Show this weekend and the car has not arrived yet! Kats, I know how you feel being separated from your car on the boat ride over. I am constantly wondering where my car is, is out outside, dirty, does the batttery still have a charge, will they have to monkey with it etc? I guess will have to drive my 1995 300ZX to the show instead.

Just wanted to congratulate Kats on a wonderful car, and everyone else not mentioned for their replies and helpful information.

I thought about replying to 26th Z about taking him up on his offer and crashing in his room. I have a free ticket on Southwest to use up from work. Will John Morton and others really be in attendance? I can't miss that, especially Mr K!

Regards,

Todd

Hello Todd,

Thank you very much,I am very happy you enjoyed this thread.

I cleaned clamps using a powered drill with a wire brash. Then apply grease for rust prevent.Or splay clear coat was I tried for some.

Congratulations on your starting 240Z life!

Has it arrived already?Like you said,I am anxious about my Z.My Z is in Nissan motor co. L.A. now,it has arrived at 3rd Jun.Nissan reported all the japanese Z cars are very fine, safely transported.

How about your Z?Towing hooks are important for the transportation.I realized it this time. They must be farm and securely fasten.

Once it arrives, you must be busy for enjoying your 240Z.

Thank you,

kats
