Posted March 22, 200223 yr comment_4418 Hi,i've been reading Haynes repair manual looking for the torque setting for the bolts on the camshaft holder(tunnel - i dont know the term) and i dont think its mentioned anywhere. Does anyone know how much torque i should put. i am using a 10 mm socket to it, so i am thinking it should not be more than 15lbs.thanks,hf Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1162-torque/ Share on other sites
March 22, 200223 yr comment_4422 Well, I looked through two factory manuals before I found it.6 ft/lbs for the camshaft locating plate bolts. Since the only other bolts on the camshaft is the sprocket bolt I guess that these must be the cam tower mounting bolts (why they didn't call them that to make it easier?).
