Hi all,

Give me your opinion on these two hat styles. I have picked out a couple hats but I don't know if we should go with light or dark colors. I'll post replies to this message with the attachments.

Send a reply and tell me which one you like. The responses I get here will let me know what sort of hat I'll buy for the club members. And, if you think you'll get both, let me know that too. I just need rough percentages to know which one (or both) is more popular.

The logo will be embroidered with the words "ClassicZcars.com" on the back above the strap. You'll notice these pictures show a logo just sitting on the hat (not permanently attached) just for visual reference. There will NOT be a white border around the logo.

The hats SHOULD be available soon. We are in the last stages of designing them. Sorry it's been a long process but we want them perfect! I think we will be able to order them within two weeks and hopefully have them stocked by the end of September available for sale. You can send me any questions as I am taking care of most of this for Mike. Thanks!

Any further news on the Hats?

Yes, I should have the samples for Mike's final approval this weekend. If all goes well, we will have them available for sale by the end of the month. Hope that pleases everyone! It's been a long process but they are really going to be cool! We've put alot of time into them just to make them right. I think Mike will be adding something to the site so we can take orders soon. Thanks for checking up on it!

Hello everyone! I'd like to preface this post with a big 'shout-out' and thanks to the illustrious admin of this beloved site, without whom this discussion wouldn't even be possible. I think we should each take a few moments each day to turn our thoughts to the guy behind the curtain as they say, the one who makes it happen, the MAN WITH THE PLAN - of course I'm referring to Mike - the PHP wizard of classiczcars.com. Again thanks Mike for making this all happen for us members and the thousands of guests whose lives are geared up a notch each time they visit this place that some of us may even call home.

Just for grins, here's a pic of the original club hat. The emblem is silk-screened I think, with "PERFORMANCE, PRIDE, PRESERVATION" on the top part of the red strip and ""INTERNET 240Z CLUB WWW.240Z.ORG" along the bottom. It's been awhile since this was a 240Z club huh? The rear strap is velcro. This is mine in practically new condition. I don't remember ever wearing it.

Well personally I would prefer the dark color hat, more particularly navy blue, but black would work too. But in the end Visors are for girls! - and tennis players :)

MPERDUE - I remember those hats, and when this was a 240 club. It's expanded quite a bit since then. What are you're coordinates? East Texas?

MIKE - Great job with the site! It's been a few months since I was able to log on and check it out and MAN, you've been busy! It's gonna take me awhile to figure it all out! Thanks for all your hard work.

Any word on having our screen names applied to back?

Nate

Thanks for the compliment Michael! :D

Oh yea, that's a cool one. I never bought one of those hats. Wish I did. I have a mug and some other cool stuff. That stuff was for sale through a 3rd party and I put a lot of work into that whole thing. We had to close the thing because of a technicality related to the 240z used in our logos. Sucks doesn't it?!

Well, the stuff that place sold was pretty shoddy. I bought a tee shirt and a sticker. The sticker has been on my car for a year and is shot. As a matter of fact, I was telling myself that it's time to take a scraper blade to it today. Too bad, as I really loved that logo. The tee was thin material and didn't last too long either.

Looking forward to the classicZcars.com hat! and after that, the polo shirt (XXXL for me), the new sticker, the dash plaque (with engraved member number of course), the mechanics fender protectors, the machanix (brand) gloves, the emboidered car bag, the cooler, the can cooler and lastly...

the ClassicZcars.com watch!

Yea, one of my mugs is totally faded now. The t-shirt is also fading fast. Their printing techniques were kinda like iron-on quality.

The NEW hats are embroidered and I went through three companies to find the right one. I am pleased with the quality of these newest hats.

We are ALMOST to the point of making them for sale..... Within the next week or so.

Yup CoastGuardZ - if Dallas is considered East TX then that's where I am.

I'm also considering buying one of the new hats. It depends on how much the club logo interfere's with the Z logo I guess. I hate being a walking advertisement, except for things I really love, such as Z's and Datsuns (not so much this site in particular).
