Nice 240Z For Sale

It does look nice but we're always quick to pick on cars for sale that come with such glowing descriptions.

The biggest problem I see in the pictures is that the lower rear valance needs some work.

Before I get nit-picky...It's a very, very nice car.

Is the image of the rear hatch reversed or did they rig a double strut assembly? The hub caps look a little too dark. The exterior mirror is not stock. It's hard to tell but is there overspray on the driver side of the dash? What happened to the luggage straps?

A well done restoration. If I had the money I'd buy it.

I was wondering the same thing.

Oh, I just noticed there's no hood ornament.

I remember seeing this car on ebay before. If this person wants to sell this car they could probably get the price asked for or more if they put different tires on, lighter colored hubcaps, the correct mirror, and the bonnet emblem. It is a very nice car with a few easy to fix discrepancies. I hope I am not being too persnickety. I think I am, oh well. :classic:

Take care,

Ben

It Looks Very Nice, I suspect it's worth close to the almost $11K he's asking.

I thought 72 Z's with that color paint (110 Red), only came with WHITE interiors. Anyone have a "known" original 72 with a Black interior from the factory??

I don't think that is overspray on the dash. When taking pictures like that you often get a reflection of the paint from the door onto the Dash in the finished picture.

Although I do question a couple of his statements in the ad

  1. "FRAME-OFF" ROTISSERIE RESTORATION??? on a unibody chassis????
  2. The automatic transmission was removed, resealed, and a new flywheel fitted. ????? Flywheel on an Automatic trans car??

how would u compare this z to the 40 z nissan restored to factory new. there's one on ebay for $25,000 that can't sell, and this z in pennsylvannia is less than half price. sounds like a bargan to me except for the auto.

I'd need a lot more pictures and details on this car to even THINK of making a comparison to a Nissan Z Store car.

Last of the Z Store Z's that I have seen sell on eBay went for about $18K.

It'll take a "special" person (as in Special Olympics!) to pay $25K for the Nissan Z Store car recently seen on eBay

Carl, not 100% sure but my 72 is the 110 with the black interior and as far as I can tell it is original.

OK Ed Thanks, I wasn't 100% sure, but thought I had seen a listing somewhere that indicated only white for 110 colored Z in 72. Memory could be wrong.
