One difference that I can tell right off the bat is the factory restored ones had all it's bolts, lines, and engine hardware either replated or replaced with new. Like the fuel line for instance. You can tell that it's probably the original 30yr old line. I'm sure there would be many other differences but from what this guy describes about this car I would say it is worth the 10k he wants.

Here is a pic of a factory engine: 1052IMGP0422-med.JPG

I live in Columbia, MD. I thought well a 2 hour trip would be good and I can take a look at this car.

Ill tell you seeing this car in person it does look nice. As nice as he describes, no.

Yes the PO does have a lot of documentation on the car, he DID do a LOT of work to the car, the car DID come from California.

Now to nit pick at what he has said.

in perfect Fresh Orange original color paint with flawless black interior, automatic transmission, and air conditioning!! 100% factory stock with no modifications and in absolutely perfect condition.

Yes the air is a NOS orignal unit, I was impressed with that and it does work very well!

The entire drivetrain was sealed and is leakfree.

No it is not, the transmission is leaking some oil from the linkage it looks like its all over the bottom of the pan. However no oil leaks from the motor.

The complete front and rear suspension was removed while the engine, transmission, and rear end were out and all new bushings, struts, and springs were installed.

If this were so then why do I see orange paint on the front sway bar, bushings are not new and NEED replaced, car does sit nice however, springs may be new, look very clean. Rear control arms were repainted.

The interior was removed, all glass and weatherstripping was removed, and the car placed on the rotisserie where a COMPLETE professional-quality paint job was applied. The inside, outside, and underside of the car is absolutely flawless and finished in correct PPG Fresh Orange paint and the paint quality is easily to factory standards.

Yes the paint does look good till you get to the underside. Where the original rust proofing or something of that nature is still on the car and it was painted over. Very professional hmm, also as stated before the sway bar was painted also.

The frame rail drain holes do not have the rubbers in them as well.

The dash which he doesnt mention looked nice and clean as well.

Its a nice car, under the mats on the inside floors were clean and the car was clean, I wouldnt pay the price hes asking for it, its to much. I would say that this is a good 5-7K car. Still needs some work and other parts to be correct and FULLY restored. Also needs all new rubber underneath.

It is a nice car, and it is very clean, but like I said in a previous post it still needs, and is lacking in some areas where the seller said the car needed nothing.

I still say anyone that would want it should buy it, but hardly at the cost hes asking for it.
