I made my own cold intake system for my weber couple weeks ago. I should known this site. Ohh, well I can re-do the thing.

Also this site includes many Japanese style mods: engine, body, wireing, but its language is Japanese. Ha Oh, his 240z is 12.7sec(0-400) with his mods.

I noticed he is using the harmonic balancer from somewhere in America too. His car is very nice I wish i could read Japanese or get a converter but I haven't had luck yet.

His attention to detail is great.

Looks like he has broken the engine more than once though.

From the bablefish translations i know he is using the LD28 crank L14 Pistons, custom pulley and flywheel clutch i think is from an RB series but not 100% sure.

It's been stroked and bored to 3.1ltr and the engine head is a bit of a mystery to me looks like it could be an early E88 somewhere it said 38cc or 30 odd cc something or other.

I had thought P90 but I might be wrong.

He said something along the lines of 300HP which is pretty sweet. A friend of mine has built a similar engine running on SU's however.

I believe the owner's name is Mr Sato ( first name Tatsuya? ) and he's a member of the S30 Owners Club - if I remember correctly.

He's using lots of Kameari Engine Works parts ( full counterweighted crank with LD28 stroke, Kameari steel rods with ARP bolts, Kameari pistons, Kameari camshaft, Kameari adjustable cam gear, Kameari twin idler cam tensioner ).

That American damper he's using is made by ATI.

His engine management is a MOTEC system supplied and modified by AVO ( AVO are a Japanese tuning company ).

I believe his head is a welded and recut N42.

He's had a few blow-ups, but he hasn't let it get the better of him. He's doing a good job.

He's done a lot of the work himself, and the rest of the car is pretty trick too. It certainly drew admiring looks at Sagamiko.

Are these engine parts easily accessable outside of Japan?

TWM has airboxes as well, and they've got most everything else to build an induction system that looks very similar.... that is, if you've got the green.:cross-eye

72 silver 240 with bunch of mods.

excellent i worked my way through the site and found the downloadable website style catalogue did some conversions pretty expensive compared with AUD but nice stuff.

I like the look of the strut brace too, would that be a kameari item too? I had a quick look round the site but couldn't see it.

It certainly is a great car though
