Does anyone have any 240z dashes in bad shape that they want to get rid of?

I have one out of my '71. It is in good condition and even has some of the gages in it. Let me know how much you are looking to spend and we can talk. I am in central Kansas as far as shipping goes.

I'm looking for badly cracked dashes. I don't know what a badly cracked dash is really worth but I'm looking to only spend about $50 including shipping so if your dash is in good shape you probably could get more. If anyone has experience shipping these dashes please let me know if $50 would go over the shipping cost enough to be worthwhile. I would expect people to use the cheapest shipping possible.

If what you are looking to do is save bucks then buying a "poor" dash and shipping it is NOT the way to do it.

Shipping a DASH CAP only cost me about $25 from Las Vegas to Vancouver Washington, and this was due to the size and bulk of the shipping container. Some carriers won't accept it without an oversize charge. A complete dash I'll bet is going to be closer to 50 or 60 just from California to Seattle.

I think you'd be better off finding a dash in the Seattle area. There is a boneyard in Portland Oregon which will have some dashes in "ok" shape, which would probably fit your requirements, but you would still have to get down here to transport up. But I bet even that would be cheaper than shipping it.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want one in bad shape?

240Z Dashes I believe are the most aesthetically pleasing dashes I have ever seen. Granted I haven't been in any Ferrari's or Aston Martin's but from what I've seen in magazines I have little doubt actually sitting in those cars would make a difference. I've called a few recycling yards in my area and 240Z's aren't as available as they were 10 years ago when I bought my first one. The dash I have now has some cracks in it and I want some dashes that I can do repair experiments with because there has to be something better than using a dash cap. I don't mind spending more than what a cap costs but I don't want to spend $400 to $500 for a rebuilt or mint dash. I'm a dreamer what can I say?

Give Mike at All Z East Recycling Center. They specialize in Z cars and have a lot of them all years. Don't know what a dash would cost, nor how much to ship it, but if you tell Mike that you're interested in one that he wouldn't normally be able to sell, he should be able to give you a good price.
