Hi Ben:

That is the one I was telling you was VERY expensive when I was lookiing for cables. I believe that it is virtually (if not really) NLA. Let us know if/when you find one.

I will definately tell you guys if I find the positive battery cable. I am going to call around local Nissan dealers. It is probably a lost cause, but maybe I will get lucky. I am also going to call Z barn. Ever heard of them before? I did buy the negative cable and it was 46USD. I hope it is not a whole lot more than that.

Errr, I called Z barn about the (+) battery cable and the guy said he only sells good used parts, and even then he didn't have a (+) battery cable that was in good condition. I also called my local Nissan dealer, and he acted like he had one, but it wasn't in stock. He called me back and said that he checked the inventory of all the listed Nissan dealers around country and nothing came up. I can see that this is going to be a wild goose chase. I will probably settle for a autoparts store cable :(. Oh well, I thought it would be cool to have both oem cables.

Like everything it's a tradeoff. There are times when OEM is far superior and other times when it's just a lot of money that somehow makes you feel superior to the rest of us. With a battery cable as long as the gauge is sufficient I wouldn't worry too much. It's not like the OEM wiring in the car is always good enough. I might go for heavier than OEM gauge just to be safe.

Another example is paying $100 plus for a braided radiator hose that's 30 years old and may leave you standed. Yes, it's cool but you might want a modern spare to go along with it. ROFL
