Hi all I need some help in finding high performance pads for my 240z which has the 4 pot toyota to original solid rotor conversion. deos anyone know or recommend a good company to get them from who will ship to UK also has anyone successfully overhauled these caliper and is there a new seal kit from Toyota available all this has come about after taking my Zed on a track day great fun but cooked the brakes.I thought i would try better pads and an overhaul before changing to Vented discs etc.

Please help.

I have a 4Runner and buy my performance and upgrade parts from Performance Products; they have a website and may ship to the UK.

i ran the solid calipers for some time was getting better pad material bonded to the old backing plates

have sinced moved to the vented calipers but find it quite easy to ring the local speed shop quote backing plate model 9found the largest pad area for these was land cruiser pad that still fitted in caliper) and they can get most any material made up quite reasonable price have been using a ferodo material lately good results for track and road

Should be able to get seal kit from toyota i did for old calipers

You wont believe the differnce between vented and std its huge

I don't know if you guys have access to Hawk pads "down under", but they have a great selection of friction materials to choose from.

They may even have a standard pad that will work in the Toyota calipers, without having to resort to having them use your old backing plates to make new ones.

I am currently using Bendix Ultimate Pads for road and track work. Have not experienced any major fading to date.

Not sure if they would suit Toyota 4WD discs but may be worth checking out.
