I came across car number 000144 ( 1969 Fairlady) that is going to need some body work. My problem is its right hand drive and needs the frame rail under the battery replaced. Does anyone know if the right hand/ left hand drive frames rails inter change? Everything else is in place but has been sitting and needs a complete resto.

I sure Im going to have to find a doner or start fabricating.

so do you mean the frame rail that runs under the floor up to the inner wing or from the floor edge forward towards the front.either way there should be little difference between left and right hand cars apart from your mount for the clutch cable and some of the holes for fixing the brake pipe mounts and the fuel lines which would not be a problem.

i have got a LHD 240Z and RHD fairlady (260) so i can compare.

Hey Mike, check out zed findings at this link. Charlie Osborne has great replacement floors and rails.
