dfr867 Posted June 8, 2004 Share #1 Posted June 8, 2004 I've got a 1975 280z. I want to put disc brakes in the back. I've heard of swapping them out with another Nissan vehicle. Can someone tell me which one it is?Thanks in advance!

Go240Zags Posted June 9, 2004 Share #3 Posted June 9, 2004 That's a common answer around here. You'll find many topics have been discussed numerous times. However, Gema's answer wasn't very helpful since the search function (at least on my home and work computer) haven't worked since the upgrade on this site a few weeks back. Hopefully it will indeed be the right swap soon, so you can find info on the brake swap. Good luck. Gary

Bambikiller240 Posted June 9, 2004 Share #6 Posted June 9, 2004 FYI to everyone:Search DOES still work, however you cannot access it from the Home page. You have to start from the "FORUMS" tab, then click on "Search".....and recommending use of the SEARCH function is a valid response to questions that have bee discussed ad nausium. The Lord helps those who help themselves (when possible). dfr867 Posted June 9, 2004 Author Share #7 Posted June 9, 2004 Thanks alot seerex. Sorry about the "search" button. I'm just the FNG around here so I'm sure to get it together. That link is great and is the info I wanted. Thanks again!
mperdue Posted June 9, 2004 Share #8 Posted June 9, 2004 That link to modern motersports is fine and dandy but you could do a similar upgrade with nissan parts for less money. You'll find the most detailed info by searching this site but to sum it up you need a set of rear caliper brackets from a Nissan Maxima and 2 different sets of calipers will work. Choose from the 240SX setup or 280ZX setup. Probably searching the site for "maxima bracket" will give you all the info you need.
