Posted June 9, 200420 yr comment_84470 I just recently bought a 240z! (1972) I tune up the basics ( points, caps, plugs, ect..). Now I’m trying to get the carbs to balance. The airflow between the two carbs are extremely off. I’m getting 2 or 4 times more airflow on my rear carb and hardly any flow in the front. I thought it could be a vacuum leak, but I check it with the starter fluid trick. I haven’t top the SU carb oil yet and I haven’t check the valve clearance ( Should I?). Do i need to rebuild the carbs? I’m pretty new cars . So be kind to me.
