Posted June 18, 200420 yr comment_85574 I own a 260z and and the only thing that I don't like on them is the rear lights in comparison to the 240z. I've taken the rear tail lights and panels off on a number of occasions and noticed that there would be some cutting involved to mount the 240 tail lights. Has anybody here attempted this? Dreaded exhaust fumes are one of the worries I have in regards to this conversion.CheersSulio! June 18, 200420 yr comment_85575 SulioI've seen the conversion done the other way ( ie putting 260z lights into a 240z) but that was done to avoid the excessive cost of buying replacement 240z rear lights.Do you have some 240z lights already lined up? Could be an expensive conversion.Hope it helpsAndrew Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12251-240z260z-tail-light-swap/#findComment-85575 Share on other sites
June 21, 200420 yr Author comment_85801 Hi Andrew,I can get my hands on 240z tail lights from a freind so availabilty is not a problem. I was just concerned about structural issues when it comes to cutting sections of the rear!?!?Sulio Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12251-240z260z-tail-light-swap/#findComment-85801 Share on other sites
