Posted June 20, 200420 yr comment_85738 I have a pair of SU's I want to list on e-bay but I need some assistance in describing them. They are British SU's and have the following numbers stamped in various locations PDC2A, AUD9, AUD2140 and AUD2277. They are only a few years old and are in perfect condition (Photo attached). Does anyone know if there is a generic model number that I can use in my advert tag? Thanks in advance. June 20, 200420 yr comment_85749 What are they off of ? There is a member that is asking me to find him a pair of SUs . He is from the UK . If these are workable for a 240 ti would save a lot of shipping and fuss . Gary:classic:Nigel Sorry I thought you were form the Uk. :stupid: :stupid: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12272-carb-identification-assistance-required/#findComment-85749 Share on other sites
June 20, 200420 yr Author comment_85750 They are from my the 240 engine I had in the car I recently sold. Because the engine was a bit noisy I had put a rebuilt 260 in. I included the 240 engine in the sale because it was original but I kept the carbs because there was already a set on the 260 engine.Confused .... ? Me too.Bottom line is Yes they will suit a 240. June 21, 200420 yr comment_85877 ... some real info here.#1 I could not find any of the numbers you listed in the SU bible. More than likely these are individual piece part #s.The carb # is normally on a little tag under one of the float bowl lid screws. Doesn't matter much as most of the differences between carbs of this style is linkage and metering needles only.If they fit a Z then they are 1 3/4" which would make them an "HS-6". That linkage because of it's length looks like the set came off a 6 cylinder something...... They also are a 3 bolt face for attaching the air cleaner. They came in 2 bolt also.So I'd say "HS-6 3 bolt origin unknown". Anybody familiar will go from there, those not that familiar probably shouldn't be looking at them in the first place. Hope that helps.... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12272-carb-identification-assistance-required/#findComment-85877 Share on other sites
