gema Posted June 24, 2004 Share #13 Posted June 24, 2004 I'm not a father, but I practice becoming one all the time....My family took my Dad out to dinner, gave him the day off work (family business), and we just generally took it easy all day. Was a sunny day, too.

Hummmm!!F-- is for the FAMILY that sleeps while I cook my own breakfast.A-- is for the AGE that I feel as I look at my 10 year old with his 30 year old sister.T-- is for the TIMES I have spent with my kids, t-ball, karate, dance class, etc.H-- is for the HUNDREDS of HOURS spent putting various toys together with instruction that a five year old can follow. I'm not FIVE.E-- is for the ENERGY that is sucked out of me on the week ends trying to keep up with my 10 year old.R--is for all the other REASONS I'm where I am and have the kids I have and loving it. Put them all together they spell a place to visit after I retire. I'll eat all their food. Leave the lights on in every room in their house. Stand in front of the frig. for hours trying to decide that there's nothing in there I want. Spoil my grand kids , have two already, and then leave.Any questions? mdbrandy Posted June 24, 2004 Share #17 Posted June 24, 2004 I got a new hardback book, a 1/18th scale model of a 1970 240Z, a nice steak dinner, and 5 hours alone in the garage, trying to find my real 240Z that has been slowly being buried under car parts and tools for the past 6 months. I am happy to say, I can almost work on it again now :classic: .
