June 21, 200420 yr comment_85893 Unless someone has a pair that they'll let you have, the only way to get them is to buy a new handle from an OEM vendor such as Chloe at Midwest.Enrique Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12284-240z-pull-strap-screw-covers/#findComment-85893 Share on other sites
June 21, 200420 yr comment_85894 Very unlikely since they are the only part that breaks on the grab handle. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12284-240z-pull-strap-screw-covers/#findComment-85894 Share on other sites
June 22, 200420 yr comment_85982 Don't tell me you can buy those little plastic chrome thingies? I just forked out mega-bucks to buy the entire pull handle from some dude on Ebay, in Canada! So that's the cost of the item, plus shipping from Canada to Australia!I'd be interested (but p*ssed off!!!) to know if you can just buy the plastic covers for a few bucks?? :stupid: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12284-240z-pull-strap-screw-covers/#findComment-85982 Share on other sites
June 22, 200420 yr comment_85988 No, you can't pick up the plastic covers for a few bucks - don't worry. Every now and then you will see them on eBay. I have been toying with the idea of making them. They have never been available separately to my knowledge (even back in the 70's).New handle w/ covers $26.00 USD from Chloe at MidwestZ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12284-240z-pull-strap-screw-covers/#findComment-85989 Share on other sites
June 22, 200420 yr comment_86070 Lotsa demand for those chrome-look plastic covers. Everybody who owns an old Z probably would buy two. Tooling cost would be minimal and somebody with initiative to market them could make some bucks. Won't get rich but would make a lot of people happy if they sold for a reasonable price. June 22, 200420 yr comment_86092 I have heard rumors that All Z Parts here in Sydney Australia use to make replacements years and years ago. They were formed from metal rather that vacuum plated plastic.Im sure if he had enough interest shown, including overseas customers, he may be willing to get them produced again.RegardsJoseph Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12284-240z-pull-strap-screw-covers/#findComment-86092 Share on other sites
