Don't tell me you can buy those little plastic chrome thingies? I just forked out mega-bucks to buy the entire pull handle from some dude on Ebay, in Canada!

So that's the cost of the item, plus shipping from Canada to Australia!

I'd be interested (but p*ssed off!!!) to know if you can just buy the plastic covers for a few bucks?? :stupid:

Nope, Only way to get new chrome/plastic covers is to buy the handle COMPLETE w/ covers. They have never been available separately to my knowledge (even back in the 70's).

New handle w/ covers $26.00 USD from Chloe at MidwestZ

Lotsa demand for those chrome-look plastic covers. Everybody who owns an old Z probably would buy two. Tooling cost would be minimal and somebody with initiative to market them could make some bucks. Won't get rich but would make a lot of people happy if they sold for a reasonable price.

I have heard rumors that All Z Parts here in Sydney Australia use to make replacements years and years ago. They were formed from metal rather that vacuum plated plastic.

Im sure if he had enough interest shown, including overseas customers, he may be willing to get them produced again.

Regards

Joseph
