Posted June 24, 200420 yr comment_86305 Well, I went out and purchased the orange/orange, fully loaded, Touring, 350 coupe two weeks ago. Lord, thank you for giving me the ability and giving Nissan the guidance. My 81ZX has 312,000 hard miles on her and she still runs like a teenager on steroids. But the 350 looks like she is moving while parked in the garage. I need to say that in my opinion Nissan did a wonderful job of capturing the personality and paying homage to the original. I swear that when I am driving I feel like I am in my Datsun when she was a puppy. It is 1981 again. It is breathtaking to feel so comfortable. The only part that keeps messing with me is the short throw and the new clutch versus my long shift and broken in clutch. I am very happy and I have to believe that when they are in the garage they must be talking to each other. "So how is this guy, Ric?" asks the 350. "Hey, he loves to wash me and always rubs that Carnuba stuff all over my body, I love it!" replies the 280. "Wow, I can hardly wait!" replies the 350 as she slowly slips into a tired sleep from the fast running on the 50 freeway through Sacramento . As the 280 slowly enters sleep she peeks through one head light one last time and thinks softly to herself, "That's okay, he still loves me and tomorrow is my turn to feel his hands caressing my steering wheel. Tomorrow." Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12323-i-did-it-bought-the-350/ Share on other sites

June 24, 200420 yr comment_86310 You beat me to it. When does the 280 "initiate" the 350 into "garage etiquette?" *Enter cheesy guitar riff* Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12323-i-did-it-bought-the-350/#findComment-86310 Share on other sites

"It is 1981 again"?!1981?!That's the problem with the new 350, it's a ZX at heart, not the original 240Z.OK, having been driven around NHIS a couple of times in the 350Z, I have to admit it is a very good sport coupe. But even Steve fricking Millen driving one couldn't keep me and the 240Z behind him!Seriously, congrats on yer new ride!Old Man GrumpusOh yeah, my 240Z looks out from the garage at the '95 Z28 in the driveway and just laughs!
