Finnished up the install last night and took it out for a spin what a difference good ball joints can make. No more shaking of the wheel at 70MPH. He has a lot of z parts on e-bay right now. He ended the auction and let me have them for the opening bid and sent them out that day. Thew shipped out on Monday and I had them Wensday. Had to get a new tie rod nut to get it finished. The tie rod nut was the hardest thing to find. No one had one and the said the could not get them not even the dealer. I found one at a parts store in the help section mixed in with all the other help items.

Moog Ball Joints - anyplace that sells Moog parts.

FYI, assuming she's still around (I haven't seen or heard from Chloe in a couple weeks now), she sells Moog too. For my 280, I was agonizing over doing Nissan at almost $100 apiece or Moog for half that or so. I went with Moog since my 280 is not going to be original anyway, and Chloe says she's had no complaints about the Moog.

That's still more expensive than the e-bay ball joints, but I try to avoid the generic import parts, especially for critical suspension and engine pieces.

Hello Ian240,dhoneycutt

that's strange, I installed these too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33580&item=7908695394&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

But my ball-joints have a lot of play, when I jack up the car and shake the wheel on 9 and 3 o'clock. On the road my steering still shakes by 100mph.

There is nothing to do wrong ? I filled them up with grease. It looks for me, that the spring load under the balljoint is not high enough.

Any ideas ?
