It has just come to my attention that our member "280z" (otherwise known as Marc) won the "BEST 280Z" classification with his Super Clean Silver 280Z at the 2004 ZONC Blackhawk Event.

Congratulations Marc! :D

**I didn't get a good pic of it at the show, but the attached is from our Mt. Hamilton Run last month.

im not so happy anymore. sometime after the my last post and now, i received a nice sized dent in my door. i got my datsun splash guards from ups today and i held them up to the fenders to see where they would look nice. then i went to home depot in another car and came back horrified to find that dent. i know it was those god damn vandels who live across the street. there was a lot of blue paint left over and the always ride that blue bike. but i dont want to go accusing them if it was from some other car yesterday or something. maybe ill kidnap one of them and get them to confess.. god damn im pissed!

That really sucks marc. Congrats on the award though! From the pictures it looks really really clean. :classic:

Just make sure you dont do anything that will just make THEM want REVENGE on you... one ding in the car is enough!

Awe Marc, that is too bad about the dent. Even if you do find out who did it, what is going to happen? Are they likely to pay for it? Or are they just going to give the, "I am sorry man." The ding has to be professionally fixed, but can you rub out the scrape? I don't know what to say  . It is horrible that it happened, but it could have been worse. Are you sure it wasn't Anya again? J/k :).

Take care Mark

p.s. It is still the nicest 280z I have seen. Just hang low and don't say anything to anyone about it because like Lachlan said, you don't want any haters.

On the other hand, you don't want the neighbors to think that it's OK to bounce their bicycles off of your car every week either.

haha no it wasnt anya. if it was those kids, im gonna make their parents pay for it.. their kids are real trouble makers. they always break things and steal stuff. but since im going to college in the fall, and i cant bring my car there because there are no parking spots and storing it would cost too much.. im gonna get the damn dent fixed and keep in under a cover and drive it only on weekends or something.

Marc,

I really hate when people don't respect others property.

Its really hard to tell from digital pix how bad things really are. It may be possible for a Paintless Dent Repair shop to get that out. Recently, the wind blew a metal framed lawn bag holder into my fender. It dented it and put a mild crease into it. They removed the dent so well, you would never know it was dented. Cehck them out. It cost me $60. You may also be able to get the scrape wet sanded out. I would have it professionally done though.

Hope it works out for you.

Marty

280Z's Ive seen in stock form. Its a beautiful car. Just one and only thing I dont like about the whole car is the bumper overrider. Never did like those on any Zcar.

Its still absolutely beautiful though just the same.
