Posted July 1, 200420 yr comment_87098 I need to sell my 1973 240z. It has 84,000 original miles on it and was previously a Texas car. It has only been in Wisconsin as a summer car. The floor pans and underneath the battery tray are extremely solid with no rust. Between training for a marathon and work my baby gets no attention. The blue book for it was 5,000$ in poor shape, but the z's that i have seen in that price range on autotrader seem a little nicer than mine. I was thinking 4,000 would be appropriate, but you guys can check out my gallery when the pics are approved and set me straight. I would really appreciate feed back. If you do not care to wait just e-mail me at tthompson240@yahoo.com and I can send you the pictures. Thanks.Thomas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12429-selling-73z-wondering-about-fair-price/ Share on other sites
July 1, 200420 yr comment_87119 Your exterior of the car seems to be in pretty decent shape judging by the pics. Some people might have a problem with the sunroof. The interior looks a little abused, ripped seat, shortened shifter, painted steering wheel. What does the back look like? Engine bay color doesn't match body, the battery looks like it's not secured. And what's that metal rod looking thingy by the master cylinder? If the floors are solid as you say I would start around 4k and go from there. IMO, I would offer you about 3k depending on what the rest of the car looks like. Not trying to burst your bubble or anything I'm sure up in WI you won't find a rust free Z. So use that as your selling point. :classic: Good luck. July 2, 200420 yr comment_87251 I was thinking the same thing, judging from the pictures and depending on whether there is rust or not, and how much, I would say 3-3500.Then again with the sunroof, for me anyway, I would never bother with it straight away for that reason.
