Posted August 11, 200024 yr comment_286 Good day Z Fans, on the Rack and Pinion setup 73 240 there is a U-Bolt deal with a rubber stopper on it facing to the rear of the car located between the rack bushings more so to the side of the pinion, does any one know what this is? and how is it ajusted? August 12, 200024 yr comment_287 I believe that it is used to keep the steering rack from flexing when the car experiences severe loads while cornering hard. The rubber stopper is supposed to be snug up against the front cross-member.Sorry I don't have more info.
