Posted July 6, 200420 yr comment_87654 So while under the Z this weekend I realized one of the front swaybar mounting holes is stripped... Since the threads are inside the front frame rail does anyone have any advice how I am going to get in there and fix it???Any and all advice will be appreciated greatly... Thanks all,-e Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12505-stripped-frt-swaybar-mounting-hole/ Share on other sites
July 6, 200420 yr comment_87655 Drill upward all the way through the top of the frame rail and use longer bolts, flat, (and lock) washers and a nut on each. People do this all the time when using larger diameter swaybars to get a stronger mount. Just be careful that you don't drill into anything else that may be mounted to the top of the frame rail.
