July 7, 200420 yr comment_87856 I've done a track day class session at Thunder Hill. It's a real kick. I drove a car from the complete opposite end of the spectrum though..........my wife's '96 Impala SS. It's an impressive piece of iron out there on the track and surprises alot of people.Driftin Jon Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12512-fuel-injection-or-carbs/?&page=2#findComment-87856 Share on other sites
July 8, 200420 yr comment_87916 Originally posted by sblake01 Not really. Based on the particular problem, there is a particular direction you go in. I guess after dealing with Bosch type fuel injection off and on for fifteen years or so, it's second nature for me also. Direction is the key word. Troubleshooting is more involved, more time consuming because there are tons more things that can go wrong with FI than carbs. But after dealing with FI for so long, I know what to mentally eliminate, so it's really not that time consuming. Now carbs . . . well there's adjustments, syncronization, balance tubes, damper oil, etc. I guess it's all in what you're used to.
